How To Create An Encrypted PDF
If the file is not already a pdf, open in application used to create the file. You can then either "Save As" or "Print to PDF" to create the pdf file.
Open the file in Acrobat Reader.
File>Password Protect
Now that you have a password protected pdf, you can securely send that to the recipient. They will need the password to access the pdf. This should be communicated in a secure method. A phone call is recommended. Do not email or text the password.
