Overview
This article provides an overview of Microsoft Teams Calling functionality on Poly VVX 410 and VVX 310 phones. It covers sign-in procedures, phone features, call handling, voicemail access, and troubleshooting information for end users.
Microsoft Teams Phone allows users to place and receive calls, access voicemail, view contacts, join in meetings, and manage call settings all from a Poly device.
These devices are designed primarily for voice communications and do not support the full Microsoft Teams experience available on computers, mobile devices, or Teams-certified touch-screen phones.

Signing In to a Poly Device
Sign In Using a Computer or Mobile Device
- Power on the Poly device.
- Wait for the Microsoft Teams sign-in screen to appear.
- Select Sign In.
- A code will be displayed on the phone screen.
- Using a computer or mobile device, navigate to: https://aka.ms/siplogin
- Sign in using your organizational Microsoft 365 account (EMU account).
- Enter the code displayed on the Poly phone.
- Complete any Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) prompts.
- The device should automatically complete registration and sign in.
- The user's name, extension, voicemail, and Teams calling features should appear on the device.


User name and Password Sign-In
Some Poly models may support direct credential entry.
- Select Sign In.
- Enter your Microsoft 365 email address (EMU email address).
- Enter your password.
- Complete MFA if prompted.
- Wait for provisioning to complete.
Signing Out
To sign out of a Poly device:
- Select the profile icon.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Sign Out.
- Confirm the action.
The device will return to the Teams sign-in screen.
Voicemail Access
- Select Calls.
- Navigate to Voicemail.
- Select the desired message.
- Play, pause, or delete messages as needed.
Directory Access
- Search company contacts
- Dial internal users
- Browse corporate directory information
Call History
- View missed calls
- View received calls
- View placed calls
- Return calls directly from history
Common Troubleshooting
Device Will Not Sign In
Possible Causes:
- Incorrect Microsoft 365 credentials
- Expired password
- Multi-Factor Authentication failure
- Network connectivity issues
Resolution:
- Verify Internet connection.
- Confirm Microsoft 365 credentials.
- Complete MFA prompts.
- Restart the device.
- Retry the sign-in process.
Microsoft Teams Phone is a central communication platform that combines calling, meetings, voicemail, chat, and collaboration into one service. When integrated with Poly hardware, users have a familiar desk phone experience while also benefiting from Microsoft Teams' functionality and security.
