Installing Teams on a personal computer

Step 1: Go to the Teams Website

Open your Internet browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.) and go to:
 https://teams.microsoft.com

Sign in with your EMU email and password.


Step 2: Download the App

After signing in:

  1. Look at the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Click your profile picture or initials.

  3. In the menu that opens, click “Download the desktop app.”

⚠️ If you do not see that option, you can download Teams directly here:
 Official Microsoft Teams Download:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app

Click Download for desktop and run the file when it finishes downloading.


Step 3: When Installing

If you see a box that says:

“Allow my organization to manage my device”

 Uncheck that box
Then click OK.


Step 4: Sign In

Open Teams and sign in with your EMU account.
